Joe Roessler is a pianist, composer, and educator from Boulder, CO with over 15 years of experience in music. Currently, Joe is the choir director for Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy as well as the rehearsal pianist for Take Note!. In addition to being an in-demand freelancing pianist, Joe is a producer and composer. His performance highlights include Arise Music Festival, Absolem Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event, Gem and Jam, as well as other local and international events. Joe worked directly with Joe Roller, Faybl, Evanoff, EKG, Sylence, Ginza, and others on their releases. Joe also transcribed Bach’s Passacaglia and Fugue BWV 583, Saent-Saens Organ Symphony, and Buxtehude’s Chaconne BuxWV 160 solo and duo pianos. He completed a set of twelve original waltzes for piano. As a soloist, Joe specializes in the repertoire of Bach, Schubert, Haydn, and Mozart. Joe earned his Bachelors of English Literature magna cum laude from the University of Colorado Denver in May 2019. His undergraduate honors thesis described contemporary misconceptions about the Gnostics and is currently pending publication in a scholarly journal. Joe studied piano and music theory privately at the University of Colorado Boulder since the age of twelve with Professor Andrew Cooperstock.
