Songs of Hanukkah
Hanukkah commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean revolt against the Greeks in the second century BCE. Jews around the world recount the miracle of the holy Temple oil that was sufficient for only a single day, yet burned brightly for eight days. Hanukkah is a time to celebrate light and the various miracles around us.
